Whew... things have been busy around here lately. In addition to the normal holiday rush and all of our “early in the year” birthdays, we’ve also been working really hard to get Chris’ new business opened up. Natural Fitness Studio of Purcellville, VA is open for business. Classes are busy, sales are good, and the future looks bright.... now to get Chris to get some sleep!
Chris spent the summer running every Philly based race she can find including but not limited to: the Philly Triathlon, the Philly Women’s Triathlon, The Broad Street Run, the Irish Pub Charity Ride to Atlantic City, and the SheRox Triathlon.
Scott’s spent the end of last year trying to find a job in the computer industry after about 5 year of being Mr. Mom. It was a half-hearted search with a couple of good leads, but nothing panned out in the end. The job search has almost completely stalled as Scott’s been spending his time working as Natural Fitness Studio’s “tech guy”. Very shortly Scott needs to get serious about getting back to the job search.
The kids are doing great in school, and are both loving Tae Kwon Do classes (they are currently both yellow belts). Kearney is completely in love with the Harry Potter series these days, and only has 1 book left to read. Aidan is keeping fit with his new found addiction to Wii Fit. Kearney still has her own website (Kearney’s World)... she did this 95% on her own, all I did was auto-start the music and publish it.
The Quillen’s are STILL in the early stages of creating a new fictional movie. This one will feature Aidan as a pesky little brother always playing tricks on his big sister until one day she finds a way to travel in time and really teach him a lesson. It should feature real acting from Kearney, a few good April Fool’s type jokes you can use on people, and Scott’s new “cloning” special effect (IOW 2 Kearney’s on the screen at once.) This movie may be awhile in coming. We still need to: get a finished script, build a time machine set, order some upgraded hardware like a steady cam rig, etc. Starting up the business has delayed the making of this movie, but we haven’t given up on it, and when things settle down I hope to pick the project up again.
